USJ Strengthens Medical Collaboration with Tver State Medical University, Russia

The University of Sri Jayewardenepura (USJ), through its Centre for International Affairs, recently engaged in a high-level discussion with Tver State Medical University (TSMU), Russia, on 5th May 2026, further reinforcing its growing global academic network. 

The discussions highlighted strong academic synergies between the two institutions, particularly in Medical Sciences, Dental Sciences and Allied Health Sciences. Both universities explored opportunities to expand collaboration through joint research initiatives, student involvement in scientific publications and specialized training in communicable diseases

Looking ahead, the partnership is set to embrace innovation and global knowledge exchange through initiatives such as AI applications in healthcare, simulation-based learning, and junior researcher exchange programmes. This collaboration marks another significant step in USJ’s mission to foster impactful international partnerships that drive excellence in health sciences and global research.
