The University of Sri Jayewardenepura (USJ), through its Centre for International Affairs, continues to strengthen its global academic presence with a high-level engagement with the University of Newcastle, Australia.
The meeting, held on 24 April 2026 brought together senior leadership from both institutions to explore innovative pathways for collaboration in education, research and global engagement.
At the heart of the discussions was a shared vision to create impactful opportunities through student and staff exchanges, joint research initiatives and internationally aligned academic programmes. Both universities identified strong synergies, particularly in the fields of Allied Health Sciences, Medical Sciences and Dental Sciences, laying a solid foundation for long-term collaboration.
