University of Sri Jayewardenepura Strengthens ERP Education and Industry Collaboration through Partnership with Odoo

The Faculty of Computing, University of Sri Jayewardenepura (USJ), in collaboration with the Odoo Education Program, successfully conducted a series of academic and student-focused activities on 11 September 2026, aimed at strengthening knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and promoting industry–academia collaboration.

The programme was facilitated by Ms. Bella Indah Sanusi, L&D and Education Program Manager (APAC), Odoo Education Program. It included an introductory session for academic staff, an interactive workshop for students, and a networking and discussion session.

A key highlight of the programme was the signing of a Letter of Intent (LOI) between Odoo and the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, marking an important step towards establishing a stronger relationship between the University and the technology industry.

The LOI provides a foundation for exploring future collaboration in ERP education, professional training, certification opportunities, academic activities, and student career development. This partnership is expected to support the integration of industry-relevant knowledge and practical learning experiences into academic activities, helping students develop skills that are valuable in the evolving digital workplace.

The Centre for International Affairs, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, recognises the importance of such collaborations in advancing international engagement, knowledge exchange, and mutually beneficial partnerships. The University looks forward to building on this initiative and exploring further opportunities to strengthen the connection between academic learning and industry practice.
