On 22 May 2025, an academic visit from the University of Illinois, USA, took place. The team composed of Dr. Kacie Athey โ Assistant Professor of Crop Sciences, Dr. Sammer Jones – Director of Global Relations, Prof. Michael Miller – Professor of Food Microbiology and Dr. Mohammed Kamruzzaman, met the Vice Chancellor and the senior academic staff members of the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Faculty of Urban and Aquatic Bioresources. Followed by discussions with faculty members, a guest lecture was conducted by Dr. Kacie Athey on โBiological Controlsโ at the Zoology Auditorium.
The delegation was formally received by the Vice Chancellor, emphasizing the institutional importance of this international collaboration. The meeting provided a platform for discussing strategic partnerships, research collaborations, and potential student exchange programs between the universities. Following the administrative meetings, extensive discussions were held with faculty members from both participating faculties.
