The University of Sri Jayewardenepura recently welcomed a distinguished delegation from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom, in an effort to explore new opportunities for collaboration in the dynamic field of Medical and Health Science. This significant visit marked a step forward in fostering global academic connections and nurturing innovative research. Professor Piruthivi Sukumar, Professor of Global Engagement and Education and the Pro-Dean International, Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Leeds, was the delegate.
The meeting brought together department heads from the Faculty of Medical Science at our university, who engaged in meaningful discussions with the delegation. Both parties exchanged insights and explored potential avenues for joint research projects, academic exchanges, and collaborative advancements in healthcare education and innovation.
