Phase I: Internal Approval

  1. Draft the Document
    Collaborate with the partner organization to draft the MoU, outlining the objectives, responsibilities, and terms of the partnership.
  1. Obtain Legal Division Approval
    Submit the draft MoU to your respective Faculty Board for review and recommendation. It must subsequently be approved by the legal division.
  2. Obtain Faculty and Senate Approval
    After receiving approval by the legal division, the MoU has to be reviewed and approved by the Senate and the USJ Council.
  3. Prepare the Required Documents
    Once USJ Council approval is secured, the initiating staff member must compile a documentation package:
    The complete, Council-approved draft MoU/Agreement
  • A copy of the Council decision extract
  • Duly filled justification format, rationale template and new/renewal checklists
  • (For renewals) A certified copy of the previous MoU
