On 21 May 2025, we had the privilege of initiating partnership discussions with the University of Waterloo, Canada. Dr. Ishari Waduwara Jayabahu, International Relations Manager of the University of Waterloo, visited us and had discussions with the senior academic staff members of our university, including the Vice-Chancellor and the Deans of the Faculties.
With the coordination of Dr. Menaka Liyanage, Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Applied Sciences, and Ms. Shyamila Perera (Alumni of USJ/Mathematics Honours, at University of Waterloo/Faculty of Mathematics), the International Affairs Division facilitated this event.
Deans of the faculties, including Prof. Upul Subasinghe, Prof. Manori Gamage, Prof. Nilmini Liyanage, Dr. Nishan Dharmaweera, and senior academic staff members – Prof. Rukmal Weerasinghe, Prof. Sugandika Suresh, and Dr. Chathuranga Vidanage, attended this discussion, which was held at the Old boardroom of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce.
